Arca, “tired” of plagiarism, points to Sevdaliza and her ‘heroine’

Sevdalizes has come with everything with his new single, ‘Heroina’, a theme of neoperreo that continues the Latin urban style of its last singles, such as the very successful ‘Alibi’. ‘Heroina’ has the collaboration of the Argentine rapper La Joaqui and its video clip – directed by Tani Muiño – is a visual marvel of futuristic style.

In ‘Heroina’, Sevdalizes celebrates the mothers who fight -including herself-, claims their Iranian and migrant origin and points to those who “transit it“, wrapped in explosive beats. For her part, the Joaqui leaves very, very Rosalia rhymes as “with my dog Sweet how Teriyaki / through the big city walking in Kawasaki.” Meanwhile, all the aesthetics and sound of ‘Heroina’ remind Ark’s work, Ark has also looked it.

ARCA has pointed out to Sevdame on Instagram for apparently appropriating its Cyborg aesthetics, in a post already erased that is circulating in different fans accounts. Arca’s strategy has been to publish a series of private messages shared between her and Sevdalizes, the oldest of 2016, which reveal that Sevdalizes has contacted Ark several times in the past to express her admiration and propose to collaborate. In one of the messages, Sevdaliza proposed to Arca to participate in the remix of ‘Ride or Die’ and Arca declined the offer reasoning that “at the moment I am not doing remixes.” With the publication of these messages, Arca seems to suggest that Sevdalizes has been very aware of his steps for years, and that now he copy it openly in ‘Heroina’. Arca complemented the post with a capture of the ‘Heroina’ video in which Sevdalizes appears carrying mechanical prostheses very similar to those associated with Ark, and in the text body he pointed out to feel “tired”, it is understood, that other artists reproduce their style without impudence.

Sevdalizes has not responded to the indirect accusation of Arca at the moment. Will their differences in private have resolved?

In a publication prior to the launch of ‘Heroina’, Sevdaliza justified his controversial transition from an alternative artist to commercial pop star, explaining that, after spending 15 years, picaning stone to be able to live from his music without getting it, in addition, being a mother, he has achieved it at 35 playing the industry cards, pointing out that he is not “ashamed” of it.
