Anderson .Paak is timeless again in the new NxWorries

Eight years later, NxWorries' long-awaited second album is upon us. The group of Anderson .Paak and producer Knxwledge has released a series of singles in dribs and drabs over the last two years and everything indicates that the wait has been well worth it. 'FromHere' is the fourth preview of 'Why Lawd?', available June 13 on platforms, and our Song of the Day.

NxWorries could be the American equivalent of Cupid, since they are in charge of singing about love in all its forms. Unlike most of his brief catalog with NxWorries, a directionless Anderson .Paak dedicates 'FromHere' to being single. Specifically, the desire to have a person waiting for you when you return home. 'Where I go? Where do I go now?' sings the American October London in the purest doo wop style.

Snoop Dogg, who doesn't even rap, is in charge of adding the touch of humor that does characterize the group: “They say that the worst thing that can happen to a man is to come home with an empty bed, but I don't agree. The worst thing that can happen to a man is that his girl gets up, changes the locks and puts all her clothes on the door, and now there is no way to find her, and you have nowhere to go,” says the legendary rapper as a spiritual guru

'FromHere' follows the line of all the singles released to date. Around a hidden 70s sample, Paak and Knxwledge build a beautiful and sweet neo soul jam in which both of their skills shine. In this case, October London's vocals, which seem straight out of that era, elevate the song to the next level. The new NxWorries comes after the release of 'Where I Go' (2022), 'Daydreaming' (2023) and '86Sentra' (2024).

'Why Lawd?' It will hit stores in physical format on June 7 and a week later it will be available on all platforms. 'Yes Lawd!', NxWorries' first LP, was released in 2016.
