American Football’s home is now an Airbnb

In 2023, American FootballPolyvinyl Records and Open House Contemporary They bought the legendary house that all emocore fans know. Well, now it’s available on Airbnb if you want to live there for a while.

Take note: West Urbana neighborhood, in Urbana, Illinois, United States. There is one of the houses that have gone down in emocore history. It is the more than 130-year-old building that the band American Football has popularized through their covers. In 2023, and with the intention of saving it and preventing it from disappearing, the members of the group, their record label, the Open House Contemporary foundation and other private buyers acquired the house.

You can now rent it on Airbnb to “experience a piece of emo history.” The house has been remodeled, but it still has all the charm we know it for. And if you’re interested, it has three bedrooms and is right next to the University of Illinois. For a time, the house was a meeting place for the local hardcore punk scene and many emo concerts were held in its garden.

In any case, if you want more information you can visit www.americanfootball.house.
