Amaral sings of freedom in ‘Rompehielos’

Amaral have finally published the first preview of their next album. It is a song that advocates freedom, a mid-tempo marked by the use of brass winds. The press release itself defends the influence of reggae and hip hop in its rhythm. Of course, the sound of the most classic Amarals in terms of melody is not lost. ‘Icebreaker’ is our Song of the Day today.

The lyrics talk about “living to the last consequence, loving without limits and without rules.” There is also a feminist nod and perhaps to the so-called glass generation: “They will tell you that you are crazy, that you will not amount to anything, that you look angry and you are prettier when you smile.” Thus one of their songs is constructed with the most hymn-like vocation, and without the energy or bpm’s of ‘Revolucion’.

Officially «Icebreaker proposes getting rid of the fear of not being accepted in the face of the judgments of others. Carve the stone and remove everything that it does not contribute, opening the way.

In 2023, Amaral premiered another unreleased live song called ‘There you are’. It is unknown if this song will finally be part of Eva and Juan’s next album. Amaral’s latest release was a single in tribute to ‘ZGZ’.

Amaral’s latest album, ‘Salto al color’, dates back to 2019. Soon, Amaral will perform – among other festivals – at Río Babel sharing the bill with La Oreja.
