Alternative supergroup Calabria debuts with “Veneno”

Members of various alternative bands in our country join forces in the new project Calabriafrom whom you can now listen to the preview “Veneno”.

Calabria is a new band made up of members of Today Is Always Still, Svdestada, Docka Pussel and Fourteen. His cover letter is “Veneno”, first single from “Baladi Nostalgia”their debut album that will be released on September 4.

The song anticipates the character of an album that wants to recover the sounds of the early 2000s. The set, which has been recorded and mixed by Rafa Nightgown and mastered by Ivan Ferroproposes a mix between the forcefulness of nu metal with the atmosphere of shoegaze, in a contemporary result that the members themselves identify within nu gaze.

But this nostalgia is not only found in the group’s enveloping rhythm and guitars, but also in an original and interactive listening proposal. Through the website www.nostalgiabaladi.com, listeners can listen to “Veneno” within a recreation of the classic Winamp interface, a nod to the way many fans consumed music in the early 2000s.

Both with their music and with this experience, the band wants to claim that “Baladi Nostalgia” It doesn’t just remember a time, but a whole way of experiencing music: listening to complete albums, patiently discovering new bands and establishing an emotional bond with the songs.

After the release of the album, Calabria will present it live next November 1 at the Barracudas room in Madrid. The band will announce more details about this performance soon.
