Almodóvar asks the government to “break relations with Israel”

Pedro Almodóvar has put himself in front of the camera to denounce, once again, the genocide that the state of Israel is committing in Gaza. The renowned director joins dozens of artists as part of the #Accionaya Campaign, promoted by artists with Palestine, which consists in asking the Government to suspend their relations with Israel and impose an integral embargo of weapons.

It is not very common to see the iconic director in front of a camera, but the occasion deserves it. Almodóvar has asked the Spanish government to break “diplomatic, commercial and all kinds with the state of Israel in rejection of the genocide that is carrying out with the Gazati people in the eyes of the entire world.”

Finally, he has personally asked Pedro Sánchez to “try to convince all our European allies to do the same and join this repulsion.” This has concluded Almodóvar the video, uploaded to the account of The Desire on Instagram.

Among the rest of the artists who have been recorded adding to the cause are Luis Tosar, Juan Diego Botto, Carlos Bardem, Adriana Ugarte, Miguel Ríos, Luis Zahera, Omar Ayuso or Joaquín Reyes.
