Allen Blickle, former Battery and founding member of Baroness dies

Allen Blicklewho was a founding member of Baroness And drums during his early years, he has died at the age of forty -two. The causes have not been announced.

Allen Blickleknown for being the battery of the progressive metal band Baroness during their first releases until reaching “Yellow & Green” (12) and the serious bus accident that the band had the same year as the publication of the album, when they fell from a height of nine meters.

The news was released through the Weedian label and later from other artists. Baroness’s official statement came later with a message signed by John Dyer Baizleyco -founder, singer and guitarist of Baroness.

“I break my heart having to share the news that my dear friend, creative partner and former bandmate Allen Blickle died a few days ago. I’m still in shock. We ask for understanding while her family and this band we process her loss. Allen, I love you and I miss you. I will keep in my heart every moment we spend together.”

Baizley and Blickle founded the band in 2003, along with Tim Loose and Summer Welch, and Blickle recorded with the band “First” (04), “Second” (05) and albums “Grid” (07), “Blue” (09) and “Yellow & Green” (12). Blickle continued his career with the electronic duo Alpaca and Romantic Dividends.
