Alcalá Norte has canceled its next three concerts in Barcelona, Seville and Granada, scheduled for November 20, 22 and 23, respectively, because its singer, Álvaro Rivas, has undergone surgery for appendicitis and is in the recovery process. Or, in the words of Alcalá Norte, “you have to rest and eat those unsalted purees.”
The three dates, belonging to La Gira Cañón 2024, had posted the “all sold out” sign weeks in advance. For now, Alcalá Norte has announced a new date for the Barcelona concert, February 14 at Razzmatazz, which will serve to close the tour.
The Canyon Tour will resume, if all goes well, on November 30 in San Sebastián and will continue through León, Valencia, Zaragoza, Segovia, Valladolid or Vigo between the months of December, January and February.
Alcalá Norte continues to present one of the outstanding albums of 2024 in Spain, a self-titled debut that has left hymns such as ‘La vidaaño’ or ‘420N’.
Recently, Alcalá Norte has been the subject of JENESAISPOP’s “Meister of the Week” section, in which Jaime Barbosa has delved into his “sick” obsession with the ‘Cuéntame’ series, which has so inspired the band’s career.
