Sala Apolo inaugurates AFERS, a series of concerts in collaboration with the Liveurope venue association that will unite two emerging talents with similar musical proposals: a local artist and a European voice who will share the stage “in a close and intimate format.” The event will be one Friday a month, at 7:30 p.m., at LA CINC in the Sala Apolo, and the first three dates have already been revealed.
On October 10, the AFERS cycle will open with a concert starring the Catalan Cabiria and the Italian Anna and Vulkan. Both explore the rhythms of pop-disco and Italo-disco in their respective artistic works. Cabiria will present her album ‘RADIO CORAL’ and Anna and Vulkan, a colorful repertoire that includes the EP ‘Andare, tornare’ and her recent single ‘Quanta lacrima’, released a few days ago.
Then, on Friday, November 14, it will be the turn of two artists united by their connection with folk music. Laaza (Laura Aznar Grau), from Barcelona, and To Sulfrom Lisbon, will take the stage at the Sala Apolo to present their respective new works: Laaza has just released the cheerful single ‘De ciudad’ and A Sul is preparing the release of its album ‘QUER QUER QUER’.
The third date, on December 12, will bring together a local artist yet to be announced with the Danish-Japanese singer Mina Okabe. Known for her alternative pop, Okabe has worked with Leroy Clampitt (Dua Lipa, Madison Beer, Justin Bieber), and her biggest hit, ‘Every Second’, has 68 million streams on Spotify. Their debut album, ‘Papaya’, was released last spring.
