Adele had announced four concerts in Munich, Germany, on August 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2024, then responded to high demand by adding four new dates on the 14th, 16th, 23rd and 24th. Finally, she added the last two definitive dates, the 30th and 31st.
Adele will perform at the Münich Messe, an open-air venue created exclusively for this special occasion. The custom-built venue will feature a combination of seated and standing areas with capacity for 80,000 people per night. Atkins, who has been performing in Las Vegas for a year with her own concert residency, has not performed in continental Europe since 2016.
In June 2022, Adele momentarily left Las Vegas and returned to her native country, the United Kingdom, to perform two concerts in London. The last time Atkins played in Spain was in May 2016, when she played two shows in Barcelona.
Adele’s statement is as rude as the London superstar usually is. «I have been happy offering shows in London and Las Vegas, but this idea piqued my curiosity too much: A single show designed around the concert I wanted to do? Standing there in the middle of Europe? In Munich? It’s a bit random, but fabulous nonetheless. Right after the Euro Cup? Come on, England! With the Olympics just around the corner? Come on, Simone! And some of my favorite artists perform too? Well of course!”
Adele is currently performing the final leg of her acclaimed Las Vegas residency, ‘Weekends With Adele’, which runs until mid-June.
