“Acoustic Sessions”, acoustic reworkings of Thin Lizzy

After more than four decades without new recordings, an unreleased album by Thin Lizzy with acoustic reworkings of some of their greatest hits.

The album, titled “Acoustic Sessions”includes a review of “Whiskey In The Jar”, the hit that led to Thin Lizzy to success in the United Kingdom in the seventies. Away from its distinctive rock production, the acoustic version reveals a rawer and more emotional approach to the song, highlighting its original essence.

This project has the participation of the founding member Eric Bellwho recorded new acoustic guitar parts, recovering the spirit of the original sessions in which he collaborated with Phil Lynott and Brian Downeybeing the only member of the band to have played on all of their albums.

In addition to “Whiskey In The Jar”, the album features new acoustic versions of songs taken from early albums by Thin Lizzyas “Vagabonds Of The Western World”, “Thin Lizzy” and “Shades Of A Blue Orphanage”. Among the featured songs are “Mama Nature Said”, “Eire” and “Slow Blues”, the latter a special tribute to the guitarist Gary Mooreincluded on the limited edition marble vinyl.

This release will allow fans of the band that was led by the late and always charismatic Phil Lynott to discover a more intimate side of their timeless music.

The album will be available on CD, clear vinyl, marble vinyl, Blu-ray and digital formats. He will see the light January 24, 2025although the pre-order is already active in this same link.
