A US University will offer a course on Bad Bunny

The Emory University This fall will impart a course on Bad Bunny And his album “I had to throw more photos”, As a basis for analyzing the history and reality of Puerto Rico.

The Emory Universitylocated in Atlanta (Georgia), this fall will offer a course focused on the figure of Bad Bunny And on his last album “I had to throw more photos”, Which will serve as a guide to address historical, political and cultural aspects of Puerto Rico.

The subject, framed in the Latinx Studies Initiativewill analyze both the artistic production of the singer and the political and socioeconomic forces from which it arises. It will also explore issues such as colonialism, sovereignty, migration, diaspora, debt, natural disasters, protest and reggaeton.

Taught by the teacher Taina Figueroa, The course will include academic readings, song analysis, podcast episodes and the study of other Puerto Rican artists to offer a broader vision of the island’s creative scene.
