A kidney in exchange for an entrance to the Swedish Way Out West Festival

The Swedish festival Way out West launches the “Kidney Pass”, an initiative that allows you to opt for free tickets to those who register in the National Donations Registry.

The Music Festival Way out Westwhich is celebrated from August 7 to 9 in Gothenburg, Swedenhas surprised this year with a peculiar proposal to meet the high demand for tickets: give passes to those who register as organ donors.

Under the motto “I would give a kidney for an entrance”, the event has launched the “Kidney Pass”, A special pass for those over 18 with Swedish Social Security number that are registered as donors in case of death. Those interested can send their voucher for registration to the festival and participate in a raffle to obtain a free three -day pass. From the organization they explain that it is not necessary to donate an organ in life, but simply demonstrate the commitment to the cause.

This year, the tickets were exhausted faster than ever, with a sign headed by artists such as Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, Iggy Pop, Wet Leg and Lola Young.The festival clarifies that the number of passes is limited and that registration as a donor is voluntary and reversible.
