A fire destroys the main scenario of Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland has suffered a serious mishap. Just two days after the beginning of the festival, this July 18, the main scenario has set fire completely. Even so, the spokeswoman has made it clear that, although the reconstruction is an impossible, the festival will continue in the rest of the scenarios.

The fire began in the afternoon of yesterday, around 6:30 p.m., and was extinguished an hour later by several fire trucks. However, it was enough time for “years of work” to be totally truncated. Although the definitive cause of the fire has not been confirmed, some sources point to a failure in “the tests of fireworks.”

The Prosecutor’s Office of Antwerp has clarified that the cause of the fire will be investigated: “an investigation has been requested,” he said. There was no injured, but the local police have warned neighbors to close doors and windows to not suffer any type of smoke poisoning.

The main Tomorrowland stage is one of the icons of the Belgian festival. Before being destroyed by the flames, this year’s was going to be completely covered with LED screens, designed to give rise to impressive light games.
