Did someone say back to school? A lot of interesting and highly anticipated albums are coming out today, including new ones by Miley Cyrus and Carly Rae Jepsen. They are joined by Tove Lo, Orville Peck, Agnes Obel and of course Beck, who signs the Record of the Week.
We also have new releases from beabadoobee, Echo & the Bunnymen, Empress Of, Chaka Khan, Son Lux, Palace, Slow Pulp and a few more. In electronics, the premiere of Actress stands out. Rels B released an album this week from Spain, and we can also listen to the debut of the revelation band 1111.
Speaking of electronics, there is a new single by John Talabot with his alias OR, although it is the mainstream that leaves the releases that will be most commented on in the coming weeks: Troye Sivan is the Song of the Day sampling ‘Music’ by Madonna, Rosé tries a new ‘APT’ with ‘new trick’, Guitarricadelafuente publishes his possible Oscar contender, Shakira and Maluma team up again and, above all, we must highlight the return of Vetusta Morla with a song inspired by… ‘Highway to Hell’?
Of course, there is a new great song from Alcalá Norte in our coffers, while Kim Petras reissues her album with ‘Autoban’ among the featured cuts. In addition, we must talk about several important comebacks, such as those of VIOLETA, Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul, or the even more unexpected comeback of Friendly Fires, 7 years after their last album.
Among the curiosities of the day we have, for example, a new Beach House song that is a cover of Robert Lester Folsom and the single that advances Guille Toledano’s debut, very much in the vein of Dani Fernández.
