The fifth edition of DalecandELA Fest It begins today, Thursday, September 17, in the Old Port of Getxo, and will hold more than thirty performances, activities and gastronomy until Sunday with the aim of making ALS visible and raising funds for its research.
He DalecandELA Fest Four days of free programming begin today in the Old Port of Getxo. The event, promoted by the DalecandELA association, once again combines music and social advocacy against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), with a program divided between two stages over the weekend.
The opening day begins this Thursday on the Main Stage with I don’t want to (19:00), Mambo Express (20:15), Still River (21:30) and Akatz (23:15).
On Friday, Scenario 1 will host Julia’s Smile (19:30), Quique González (21:15) and Duncan Dhu (23:15). You will pass through Scenario 2n Brotherhood (18:30), Duobite (20:30), Gift Horse (22:30) and DJ Ichi (00:30).
The longest musical day will be held on Saturday. On Stage 1 Neomak will perform (1:30 p.m.), Mäbu (17:00), smile (19:00), Kiko Veneno (21:00), Sidonie (23:00) and Mars Lasarte (01:00). Scenario 2 programming will begin earlier, with Fishing in Sizigito (12:30), followed by a DJ set (15:00), Vulcanized (20:00), The Fulleria (22:15) and The Cherry Boppers (00:15).
Sunday will close the festival with The Rock & Kids Band (12:00), Diamond Dogs (14:15), Luke Winslow King (16:45) and Malmö 040 (19:00) on Stage 1. In the second space there will be Wizard Oliver (13:00), Gonzalo Portugal (15:30) and Mississippi Queen & The Wet Dogs (17:45).
Beyond the concerts, DalecandELA Fest will deploy an extensive parallel program with children’s and sustainability workshops, yoga, a swimming trip, waste collection, DYA activities, technological demonstrations from Irisbond, Punto Violeta and a space for bicycle repair, among other proposals.
This fifth edition also debuts a Solidarity Gastronomic Tent sponsored by BBK, with different local establishments and projects. The space will remain open this Thursday from 19:00 to 00:00, on Friday from 17:00 to 01:00, on Saturday from 12:00 to 01:00 and on Sunday from 12:00 to 22:00, thus adding to the solidarity nature of an event aimed at raising awareness and raising funds against ALS.
