Do you have a new project? Sign up for Spinning through Rooms

Girando por Salas is the project promoted by the General Directorate of Performing Arts and Music (DGAEM) of the Ministry of Culture to help artists tour outside their province of origin. If you are from Huelva they can take you to perform in Galicia, and vice versa. Over the course of 17 editions already, they have programmed shows by artists who have later become established, such as Triángulo de Amor Bizarro, Izal, La Bien Querida, La MODA, Rufus T Firefly, Veintiuno, Miss Caffeina, Queralt Lahoz and so on, several hundred. Specifically, 525 artists have already been supported.

Today, September 15 at 11 in the morning, the deadline has opened for new artists to sign up on the official website. It will end on September 29 at 6:00 p.m. As always, artists who have at most 3 albums can sign up. You can also sign up for rooms from October 1st to October 30th.

According to the press release, «the objective of GPS is to support emerging artists of all styles, both soloists and bands, offering aid for the celebration of concerts within the venue circuit throughout the Spanish territory as a promotion of the most lively expression of popular music. These concerts are held, as we said, outside the Autonomous Community of residence of each artist or a minimum of 300 km within it.

In addition, improvements are announced: «each musician will receive up to €500 per performance. Likewise, the venues will also receive €500 for each concert on the Circuit. Since the previous edition, bands and soloists must attach, during the registration process, a record, promotional and touring release plan. This document must detail the next planned launches and the specific actions that will be developed with the support of GPS17.

From all eligible applications, 30 artists—bands and soloists—will be selected. In coordination with the selected venues and projects, a concert calendar will be designed with a minimum of 6 performances per artist, which will take place between December 1, 2026 and May 30, 2027, both inclusive.
