Great poster for Shakira’s residency, with Amaia, Nathy Peluso, Guitarrica, Rebe, Yerai Cortés, Lia Kali…

Shakira will not mess around with her Madrid residence, which will be much more than a series of concerts. Macondo Park will occupy Iberdrola Music from September 18 to October 11, coinciding with the Colombian’s 12 performances, and the poster is beyond belief.

Among the artists who will pass through the venue are Amaia, Nathy Peluso, Guitarricadelafuente, Ángeles Toledano and Yerai Cortés. Lia Kali and Santos Bravos also appear, as well as indie and urban names such as Rebe (not to be confused with Rebequita, also present on the poster), Juicy BAE, ORTIGA, Denmark, Çantamarta, LaBlackie, Jimena Amarillo, Yapi, Azuleja or Nico.

The program is completed with many more names, including Stereo Madness, La Cochetona, Karina Sainz Borgo or Ruptura, as well as figures from the last edition of Operación Triunfo, such as the winner Cris Lora or Olivia Bay.

The idea of Macondo Park is that the residence functions as a cultural experience around music. According to El País, there will be spaces dedicated to literature, gastronomy, fashion and art, as well as a library related to Gabriel García Márquez and the books that have marked Shakira, a Latin American gastronomic market, a museum about the artist’s career and family proposals.

After the concerts there will also be programming in Macondo Plaza, with music and parties. The residency, therefore, is planned as a cultural event around Shakira and Latin American culture, not only as the stage where the artist will offer her 12 concerts. «Because Spain is Latin. “America is Latin,” Shakira has written. “And I want to celebrate all that talent that unites us: the big names, but also a new generation of young artists who are writing what’s next in music, fashion, literature, gastronomy and art.” The dates of the concerts are September 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 and October 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11.
