Barcelona already has a date to decide who will be the next national champion of Red Bull Dance Your Style. It will be this coming Saturday, September 5, and the best will compete.
On September 5, at the Sala Apolo, sixteen of the best street dance dancers will compete in a competition in which improvisation, musicality and connection on the floor will be decisive. The champion, chosen by the public, will take the title of Red Bull Dance Your Style Spain 2026 and a direct ticket to represent the country in the World Final, which will be held in Zurich on October 24.
The road to the big event has passed through Madrid, where Winston was proclaimed champion of the qualifiers after beating Kenan; and in Seville, where Anubis took the regional victory against P. Vibes. Along with Winston, Kenan, Andrea and Sarita, the four qualifiers from Madrid, and Anubis, P. Vibes, Karel and Angelock, the four qualifiers from Seville, there are now eight dancers with a guaranteed place in Barcelona, chosen by the public. They will be joined by four guest dancers, Sifer, Panda, Sofía Mae and Nahiel, and four more who will be selected by the judges in the jam prior to the National Final, until completing the lineup of sixteen names that will share the title.
Before the National Final begins, Barcelona’s urban dance scene will have the opportunity to join the competition. Starting at 6 p.m., in the Sala Apolo, a previous jam will allow the dancers to demonstrate their level to complete the list of participants. Four dancers will thus obtain their direct place in the National Final and will go on to face some of the best dancers in the country.
Starting at 8:30 p.m., the National Final will begin, which maintains the spirit that has made Red Bull Dance Your Style an essential street dance event: nothing is prepared and everything is decided live. 1 vs 1 battles, in mixed and all-styles categories, where the public is the only one in charge of deciding who wins. Applause, shouts and hands in the air, the dancers who advance in the competition will be the ones who manage to excite, surprise and generate an immediate reaction.
Without prepared choreographies and without knowing the song that is going to be played, the dancers, specialists in disciplines such as popping, afrodance, voguing, house, locking, waacking, hip-hop or dancehall, will have just seconds to react and connect with the audience.
