Death Cab For Cutie They star in what is their second performance for the Tiny Desk concerts, and their first properly after appearing for the first time in 2015.
When Death Cab For Cutie first performed at NPR’s Tiny Desk concerts things were going against the group. Not only had Chris Walla left the lineup, but Ben Gibbard’s hand injury prevented him from playing the guitar during the performance, limiting himself to singing.
Therefore, it was only fair that the group offered a proper performance and that moment has arrived. As a quintet, Death Cab For Cutie perform two songs from their latest work, “I Built You A Tower”and two classic pieces from his career, one of “Transatlanticism” (03) and another of “Plans” (05).
On this occasion, the group that we can see includes, in addition to Gibbard on vocals and guitar, Dave Depper on guitar, Zac Rae on keyboards, Nick Harmer on bass and Jason McGerr on drums. Together they play a total of four songs: “Pep Talk”, “Stone Over Water”, “Title And Registration” and “Soul Meets Body”.
