Amelie Lens and Angèle go rave in ‘Run’

In just over a month, ‘AURA’, the new album by Amelie Lens, will be released, and the new preview that we know about the album is a serious techno gem that includes the participation of another Belgian artist, Angèle.

Angèle is clearly in her most clubby era. We already expected it from Amelie Lens because she is a techno producer and it’s rare that she doesn’t play at a festival, but Angèle has gone from pop to collaborating with Justice on ‘What You Want’ and on ‘Dis-le’ she released a raver banger.

‘Run’, the single that unites Amelie and Angèle, is precisely in another rave, based on dark techno and fast-paced rhythms. The feeling of threat and danger runs through the song, while Angèle’s voice provides the melodic dimension.

‘Run’ is also very contemporary in that it is narrated by an apparently computerized character, as if he were an AI with “programmed memories” and “synthetic love.” Spoiler: at the end he wonders if it isn’t “Human After All”, a possible reference to the album by the most famous robots in history, Daft Punk.
