Why is Ñengo Flow in the top 10 in Spain with a song from 2017?

There are no big changes on the Spanish singles chart, with the exception of a lost song by Ñengo Flow reaching number 8 after having the biggest rise of the week, catapulting from number 39. Why is ‘Baby Lover’, released in 2017, now occupying the highest positions on the Spanish chart?

The answer lies in the Spanish National Team. One of the most memorable images left by the passage of the world champions through the Plaza de Cibeles was that of Marc Pubill singing ‘Baby Lover’ a cappella. It was also one of the most viral. Since that time, the public returned ‘Baby Lover’ to the charts, first landing at number 39.

The reason for its sudden rise occurred a week after the famous celebration. On July 26, Ñengo Flow had a concert scheduled at Shoko in Madrid. Of course, Pubill was there. The Puerto Rican artist then invited the soccer player to the stage to sing their hit together, causing another instant viral moment.

We didn’t find the first entry of the week until number 51, with ‘I want more’ by La Pantera. Further down the list we have the debut of ‘MATADORA’, one of the singles from Karol G’s next album, at number 73. Finally, Hugel, Imael Angel and Ultra Naté place ‘Movin’ To The SSun’ at number 86.
