Thanks to hits like “Big Area”, Them Jerico They were one of the most popular British groups of the eighties. Reborn a few years ago at the hands of their leader Mark Shaw, they will visit us next October.
Mark Shaw was one of the most charismatic vocalists of the British eighties, but the band’s career in that decade was brief. Now, they left a list of timeless classics among which Big Area”, “The Motive” and “Sugar Box” stand out.
These songs and many more will be played in the three concerts that Shaw and his band will offer in our country after the summer. As for the tour dates, we will be able to see the current Then Jerico in Barcelona (October 7, Sala Wolf), Valencia (October 8, Repvblicca) and Málaga (October 10, Sala Roka). The group achieved great international success with the albums “First (The Sound Of Music)” (87) and “The Big Area” (89), but shortly after Mark Shaw, their leader, would leave the group to start a brief solo career and, later, resurrect the group with the album “Orgasmaphobia” (98), a work in which members of Duran Duran, Simple Minds and even the science fiction writer Iain Banks.
