Sila Lua He sings to us about the contradictions of power, about disillusionment and the price of obedience in his new single, “Soldadito”, available on platforms and with its corresponding video clip.
After the publication of his second album, “Dances of Love and Poison”last year, Sila Lua presents “Soldadito”, a new single that delves into some of the concerns that run through his work: human fragility, the struggle between ideals and reality, although this time he focuses especially on the contradictions that we find in systems of power.
In “Soldadito”, the artist constructs the portrait of “a young soldier who leaves his home convinced of a noble mission to end up facing the moral consequences of violence and blind obedience.” The song has been produced together with Mumbai Moon (Amaral, Fillas de Cassandra, Mala Rodríguez, among others) and Pau Aymi (Amaia, Niño de Elche, Christina Len, among others).
The launch comes accompanied by a video clip directed by Mikel Godoy and filmed on the outskirts of Bilbao. The audiovisual piece expands the symbolic universe of the song and visually reinforces some of its central themes: memory, disenchantment, obedience and the human consequences of violence.
