Siloé at Festival de les Arts: “this is a lack of respect for workers, artists and the public”

Festival de les Arts reports this afternoon of the cancellation of its second day, after bringing together 25,000 people on the first, yesterday, Friday. The decision is due to the complaint of some neighbors, which has caused the General Directorate of CACSA to inform them that they could not open doors, 20 minutes in advance.

According to the local press, the decibel measurements carried out on Friday exceeded the 85 allowed on stages and were higher than 55 in homes. At the same time, attendees yesterday complained about not being able to listen to the concerts. Siloé went so far as to state through some very “Bob Dylan” writings that what was happening was a shame for the festival organizers, who had made an effort throughout the year, a lack of respect for the artists, and of course for the public:

The organization says: “Since we learned of the ruling on March 25, 2026, which upheld the lawsuit of a few residents of the building located on Avenida Professor López Piñero and condemned the Valencia City Council for violating fundamental rights, denying the possibility of being part of said procedure, we have worked to find a solution.”

The organization claims to have tried to work with CACSA and the Generalitat to guarantee the event and also sought alternative spaces: “However, it causes us enormous sadness and frustration to see that we have not had the opportunity to hold a meeting with the Mayor’s Office of Valencia, nor with those responsible for the City Council to study possible alternatives that would guarantee the future of the festival in the city.”

The festival claims to believe “in coexistence between neighbors, institutions, culture and leisure when there is a will to find solutions.” This Friday the lineup included people like Leire Martínez, La La Love You and Siloé, and this Saturday, which will not be held, Two Door Cinema Club, Belén Aguilera, Triángulo de Amor Bizarro or Dorian. The money for Saturday tickets and 50% of general, VIP and golden VIP passes will be refunded.
