kingfishr They continue to expand their unstoppable trajectory with “The Sun Will Never Settle”, the second single they publish this year and they take the opportunity to announce their new tour.
The release comes at a particularly intense time for the Limerick band, who have just completed a sold-out UK tour. Over the next few months, the group will continue touring European festivals and performing at large outdoor concerts in Ireland.
The song, produced by David Curleymaintains the trio’s hallmarks by connecting the tradition of Irish folk with a clearly contemporary ambition. At the forefront of “The Sun Will Never Settle” is the rough and emotional voice of Eddie Keogh which sings about the end of a relationship and the possibility of coming out stronger after a breakup.
The release also comes after “The Blade”, the first preview of the year and a song that the band had already incorporated into their concerts before its official publication, a formula that Kingfishr have made part of their way of growing. Test the songs in front of the public before recording them definitively, just as happened with “The Sun Will Never Settle.”
But the other part of the news is that the group has announced a new European tour, with a stop in our country.
We will be able to see them in November in Barcelona (November 24, Sala Apolo) and Madrid (November 25, Sala Wagon). Tickets will go on general sale next Friday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. on the band’s website.
