Ian MacKaye and Henry Rollins will recover the legacy of The Cramps

Henry Rollins and Ian MacKayetwo legends of American punk rock and hardcore, join forces again to recover the legacy of the legendary The Cramps.

Ian MacKaye (Fugazi, Minor Threat, The Events, etc.) and Henry Rollins (Black Flag, Rollins Band) They join forces again. This time the reason is to recover an unreleased studio album by none other than The Crampswithout a doubt one of the essential names of the swampiest, darkest and dirtiest garage sound, true references of its kind and true green dogs.

Giving new life to what was Vengeance Records, Rollins and MacKaye along with representatives of the band’s rights have created a new company called The Cramps Inc. The main beneficiary of these new releases will be Poison Ivy, a fundamental part of the group and wife of the singer Lux Interior, who died in 2009.

Together they will publish the unreleased lost album “Gravest Gravy”which was recorded in 1977 and will include songs such as “TV Set”, “Weekend On Mars”, “Can’t Hardly Stand It”, “The Natives Are Restless” or “Rocket In My Pocket”.

The album will be released on August 21, although it can be purchased on vinyl in different colors and CD at this same link. The album will also be published on streaming platforms.
