Schedules for the second edition of Aiara Fest

This weekend the second edition of the Aiara Fest in Amurrio with more than fifteen performances spread over two days.

After the success of the first edition, in which we were able to see artists such as Gorka Urbizu, Sexy Zebras, Zea Mays, Zetak, Baiuca, O’Funkillo or Gatibu, among many other bands, the Aiara Fest.

The festival, promoted by the Cuadrilla de Aiara and the Amurrio City Council, will bring together for two days prominent artists from the Basque and state rock scene, as well as international proposals and emerging bands that will complete a diverse and powerful lineup. The programming will start on Friday, May 29 with a day headed by Su Ta Garprobably the greatest reference of metal in Basque in history. Next to them will be Biznagaanother reference, in this case of the new state punk and rock, and Guadiana leechesone of the revelation bands of the independent circuit. The first day’s poster will be completed with the performances of Süne, Sobrezero, Mirua, Coyote Girl and Tornado Boy and Mr. Wolverineconfiguring a night marked by intensity and sound variety.

On Friday, May 30, it will be the turn of The Sticker and Dubioza Kolektivtwo groups with a long history on European stages and known for their energetic live shows. The Catalan band will once again deploy its mix of ska, rumba and party, while the Bosnian collective will contribute its unmistakable combination of reggae, funk and social demands. They will also act Janus Lester, Javi Medina, Merina Gris, El Jose and Gwa Yain a day that will once again mix styles such as alternative pop, folk, reggae and rock.

Beyond music, Aiara Fest maintains its commitment to the environment and sustainability. Since its inception, the festival has worked on the implementation of measures aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the event, promoting recycling, the use of reusable materials and collaboration with local suppliers. All of this in a natural environment that is an essential part of the identity of the festival and the Aiara region. Furthermore, with the aim of facilitating public travel and promoting more sustainable mobility, the organization will once again offer return shuttle buses leaving at 4:00 in the morning towards Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz.

In its second edition, the event reinforces its commitment to becoming one of the great musical events in the Basque Country in a special environment surrounded by landscapes and nature that also serves as an event for spring in the Basque Country.
