He Camp de Mart Festival will celebrate a new edition of the June 26 to August 14 in Tarragona with a program made up of twenty music, dance and circus shows.
Among the prominent names on the poster we find Rodrigo Cuevas, Yerai Cortés, Maika Makovski, Lila Downs or Luz Casal. Although there will also be room for more alternative artists.
The Camp de Mart Auditorium will once again be the main stage of the festival. However, the programming will also extend to Teatre Tarragona, the Auditorium of the Provincial Council and other outdoor spaces. The event will include an opera, fourteen concerts, four circus shows and a contemporary dance proposal.
The inauguration will take place on June 26 and 28 with a new production of the opera Carmen, by Georges Bizet. Artistically directed by Àngel Òdena and musically by Òliver Díaz, with the participation of the Camerata XXI-Ciutat de Reus Orchestra.
Among the most notable musical events will be the family concert of Damaris Gelabert with the Unió Musical Band of Tarragona (July 5). The direct of Rodrigo Cuevas presenting “The Beauty” (July 11) or the new show Quartet Melt (July 12). Just as the actions of Lila Downs (July 18), Luz Casal (July 25), Maika Makovski (July 31) and Yerai Cortes (August 1).
The festival also reinforces its commitment to intimate formats with a new edition of Sonor Shelterwhich will feature performances by The Sara Fontan, Bernarda, KIW and Nerobambolto.
As for dance and circus, the Mal Pelo company will present Inventions on July 10, while the French company Cie des Chaussons Rouges will offer the free show Epiphytes. There will also be family circus proposals with Alba Sarraute and the BotProject company.
The closing will come with the Nit Jove, integrated into the Sota la Palmera Festival, with free concerts by Compota de Manana, Mrs. Tomasa and a special Wu Shido session.
