Bullet and Coyote Girl and Tornado Boy have joined forces to record a joint EP that will be released this fall. The project will also include a special tour with concerts throughout the State.
The collaboration arose when Markel Ormazabal proposed that Niña Coyote and Chico Tornado put music to a comic scripted by him. The work, published by Argia on May 8, addresses the murder of at least seven sailors at the hands of the Civil Guard in 1931.
From there, the Basque duo invited Bala to record the main song together. The recording was made at the Elkar studios in Amasa, in Gipuzkoa. According to the band, during the session “an electric shock occurred that upset all the neighbors.”
The first preview, “Ategorrietan Fisterra”, can now be heard on SoundCloud and YouTube. In addition, both groups have returned to the studio to record new songs that will be part of an EP “Eight hands”.
The joint tour will bring together the four musicians on stage. At the concerts they will perform both the new shared material and some of the best-known songs of their respective bands.
