Oli Sykes (BMTH), slight concussion from a phone thrown from the crowd

Oli Sykesvocalist of Bring Me The Horizon, He has experienced an incident during one of his concerts in the United States when he was hit by a mobile phone thrown from the audience.

The event occurred at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis during their North American tour, while the group was performing “Happy Song.” At one point during the show, the phone hit Sykes in the left temple, forcing him to briefly interrupt his stage performance. After the incident, the singer asked, visibly annoyed: “Who the hell threw a phone at my head?”, while checking to see if he had suffered any cuts.

Later, Sykes himself confirmed on social networks that he suffered a “mild concussion”, although he assured that his condition improved as the hours went by: “The blow hurt a lot and I ended up with a slight concussion, but the swelling has gone down a lot,” he explained.

The incident comes at a particularly active time for the group, which has recently announced new recordings related to its debut album “Count Your Blessings”as well as future releases and audiovisual projects.

The episode has reopened the debate about concert safety and audience behavior, especially on large-format tours where objects thrown on stage can cause real injuries to artists.
