While Europe tunes in to Eurovision tonight, the Netherlands – which is not participating this year for known reasons – has something better to do: attend the start of Harry Styles’ tour, anticipated at the presentation show for the album released on Netflix.
The Together, Together Tour kicked off tonight in Amsterdam, leaving behind colorful outfits, punctual visits to the piano or guitar, rushes to the stage and, above all, a setlist made up of practically the entirety of the irregular ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally’ except for a couple of songs and which has included the usual hits, although not all of them.
The tour, which, for the moment, does not go through Spain, has opened with ‘Are You Listening Yet?’, closed with the long-awaited ‘As it Was’ and included current hits (‘Aperture’) and old hits (‘Fine Line’, ‘Watermelon Sugar’), although not things like ‘Lights Up’ or ‘Late Night Talking’.
Throughout the set, in addition, nods to foreign classics have been integrated: ‘Taste Back’ has been mixed with ‘Born Slippy’ by Underworld and ‘Treat People with Kindness’ with ‘This Must Be the Place’ by Talking Heads. ‘Carla’s Song’ has been briefly mixed with Harry’s own song ‘Satellite’.
