VVV (Trippin’you), who recently released the song ‘Espadas en guadañas’ with Erik Urano, performed this Tuesday, May 12, at the San Isidro festivities in Madrid. The show was part of the programming devised by the city council, where the PP governs with an absolute majority.
As El Diario reports, at one point, the experimental synth-pop band interrupted the show to show a video from the Carabanchel Housing Union, in which they protest the eviction of a woman and her son.
In the video, and under the slogan “They fill the Pradera, they evict Madrid” it is reported that “while the most important festivals in Madrid are being celebrated, just a few meters away Ayuso wants to vacate entire blocks of public housing to sell them to private investors.”
They also criticize the inaction of the central government, despite the fact that housing powers are local: “Ayuso and Almeida are selling Madrid to speculators while the central government is dedicated to doing the same shit.” For all these reasons, they are calling for a demonstration next Sunday, May 24, at 12 in the morning in Atocha.
A day later, Amor Líquido joined the protest shouting “vulture funds out of our neighborhoods.” They indicated this Wednesday: «this morning a family was kicked out of their house. Madrid is being sold to vulture funds. The group has criticized some parties for trying to get “profit from a fight for which they are doing nothing.” They conclude: “We have the most progressive government in history and they are throwing people out of their homes.”

Yesterday, Amor Líquido also denounced the housing business and the complicity of the State from the San Isidro stage.
Come today, Thursday, May 14 at 7 p.m. to the assembly at Camino Alto de San Isidro 23 and organize yourself in the union. 🗝️🌹 pic.twitter.com/twvtbpI2DP
