The Strokes have reported on social networks that Nick Valensione of its guitarists, will take a temporary break during the group’s world tour this year.
Although it has not been confirmed whether he will skip the entire tour or just some dates, The Strokes have officially confirmed that their guitarist Nick Valensi will not be touring with the group on the tour that will begin in October and will visit different parts of the world. Let us remember that “Reality Awaits”which will be the group’s seventh album, will be released on June 26 through Cult Records/RCA.
The reasons have not been made known either, but the group comments that it hopes to return as soon as possible. In any case, at the same time it has been announced that the substitute during the concerts in which Valensi will be absent. In Europe, the tour will begin on October 6 and will extend until the 28th of the same month. He Tuesday October 20 will be performing in the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona. The guest artists on the tour will be Fat White Family and Alex Cameron. The other cities through which the European tour will pass will be London (October 6), Amsterdam (October 11), Dusseldorf (October 13), Berlin (October 15), Bologna (October 17), Paris (October 22), Newcastle (October 25), Manchester (October 26) and Dublin (October 28).
