Azkena Rock Festival It already has schedules for its 24th edition, which will be held on June 18, 19 and 20 in Mendizabala, Vitoria-Gasteiz. With Alice Cooper, Social Distortion and The Hives At the head of a poster that once again explores rock’n’roll in all its forms, the festival begins to draw the complete experience of this new edition: three days of music, community and memorable live shows that will also extend to the city center with free-access concerts in the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca. In addition, the venue will once again have, for the third consecutive year, Txiki ARF, the space designed for families to also experience Azkena from the inside.
In addition to these big names, attendees will be able to enjoy a varied cast of bands and/or artists from different generations, styles and origins: Imelda May, The Adicts, Corrosion of Conformity, Dewolff, Robert Finley, Sugar, Circle Jerks, Counting Crows, Tropical Fuck Storm, The Temperance Movement, The Damn Truth, Carpenter Brut, Sleaford Mods, Therapy?, Discharge, Theraphy?, Voivod…. The city center will mark the starting signal for the Friday and Saturday events, turning the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca into a place where live music, gastronomy and the good atmosphere will converge that will later move to Mendizabala. Those in charge of opening the first day will be the Canadians Bywater Call with a style that draws from classic rhythm & blues, southern rock and gospel. Likewise, this year the festival has reinforced the frequency and number of buses to get to and from the festival, offering organized trips from nearby towns such as Altsasu, Arrasate, Barakaldo, Bilbao, Burgos, Donostia/San Sebastián, Errentería, Getxo, Irún, Miranda de Ebro, Pamplona, Portugalete, Rentería and Zarautz.
