FÀCYL 2026 in Salamanca announces its programming

The International Arts Festival of Castilla y León will bring together more than eighty shows between music, performing arts and literature from May 27 to 31, including concerts by Walls, Shinova (in the photo) or Gara Durán.

Salamanca will once again become, at the end of May, one of the great cultural epicenters of the country with the celebration of FÀCYL 2026. He International Festival of the Arts of Castilla y Leónorganized by the Junta of Castilla y León through the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports and in collaboration with the Salamanca City Councilwill celebrate its twenty-first edition from May 27 to 31 with a program that will bring together 82 shows, 42 companies and more than 120 artists.

Music will once again occupy a central role with a proposal that combines established names and new voices from the state scene. The Plaza Mayor will host two of the most massive concerts of the festival with performances by walls and Shinovatwo references of the current national panorama between urban pop and alternative rock respectively. The Patio Chico will be the scene of the live Gara Duranwhile the Casa de las Conchas will concentrate some of the proposals most linked to the underground and electronics with concerts by Skinyz, Sora Eke and Bluntz.

Beyond music, FÀCYL will once again opt for a multidisciplinary program that will occupy some of the most emblematic spaces in the historic center. The festival will bring together proposals for theatre, dance and contemporary circus, along with participatory installations that will transform squares such as La Mayor, Anaya or Los Bandos. Among the most notable shows is Verne, from the Argentine company Puja Groupa large-format aerial montage that will open the program in the Plaza Mayor. International and national companies will also participate, such as Duo Kaos, Or Last Moment, Histrion Theater either ZirkozaurreThe literary programming will revolve around the ‘Cycle of the classics’which will bring together authors and specialists such as Luis Landero, Anna Caballe, Pilar Adón either Joaquín Pérez Azaustre.

The official presentation of the festival took place this Monday at the Casa de las Conchas with the participation of the Vice Minister of Cultural Action, Mar Sanchoand the mayor of Salamanca, Carlos Garciaaccompanied by artistic advisors Manuel gonzalezdirector of the Castilla y León Theater Fair; Javier Ajenjodirector of Sonorama Ribera; and the writer Juan Manuel de Prada.

The festival also has the collaboration of cultural and academic institutions such as the University of Salamancahe Higher Conservatory of Music of Castilla y Leónthe Professional Dance School of Castilla y León wave Association of Friends of the Casa de las Conchas Public Library. With this new edition, FÀCYL reinforces its commitment to turning Salamanca into a great showcase for contemporary creation, combining big names with emerging proposals and cultural experiences open to all audiences.
