Pedagogical Host reflects everyday anxiety with “You are broken”

Pedagogical Host have released “You Are Broken”, a new preview of their debut album scheduled for September 2026 through Limbo Starr.

The Barcelona trio formed by Java, Jordi and Brian continues to shape their particular universe of post punk that is ironic, nervous and deeply connected to the contradictions of contemporary life.

“You are broken” works as an emotional x-ray of the modern routine, with a combination of tension, sarcasm and generational disenchantment in lyrics that point directly to emotional and work precariousness.

The group had already shown part of that imagery in previous singles such as “La Noria”, “Abajo con el Trabajo” or “Vendo Manual”, songs that will also appear re-recorded on their first album. Especially in “Down with Work,” Hostia Pedagógica turned work frustration into a sarcastic and fast-paced anthem, while “Vendo Manual” satirized the culture of self-help and personal development.

The band’s debut album has been recorded and mixed by Paco Loco and mastered by Sarah Register. In parallel, the group continues to consolidate its live performance after passing through venues in Catalonia, Madrid and Zaragoza, in addition to confirming performances at festivals such as Sonorama Ribera, Brizna or Polifonik. For now, Hostia Pedagógica have announced their participation in the festivals Polifonik Sound (July 4, Barbastro), Brizna Festival (August 1, Averbe) and Sonorama Ribera (August 6, Aranda de Duero)although more dates will be announced shortly.
