Olivia Rodrigo gets her best debut with ‘drop dead’

‘drop dead’ is the well-deserved new number 1 on Spotify’s Global Top. It has 10.7 million streams this Friday, despite not leading the Today’s Top Hits playlist, where it has been relegated to 7th place.

This figure also represents Olivia Rodrigo’s best debut on Spotify Global, as ‘vampire’ also entered at number 1, but with 9.8 million streams. For its part, ‘drivers license’ was a grower: it entered at 46 and then rose through the ranks.

By country, ‘drop dead’ has reached number 1 in 5 countries, namely the USA, UK, Canada, Ireland and Australia. It is top 3 in Germany, top 30 in France, top 34 in Italy and achieves a creditable number 9 in Spain.

On Apple Music, Olivia’s song reaches number 2 in the United States (behind the hit ‘Choosin’ Texas’), number 3 in the UK and number 11 in Spain. In general, it has been better received on Spotify.

We remind you that the artist’s third album arrives on June 12. In the meantime, you can talk about her in our Olivia Rodrigo forum.
