Björk has decided to cut her losses and deny some rumors that were circulating in recent days about her next album, following the announcement of the rave she will offer on August 12 in Reykjavík, coinciding with the total eclipse of the sun.
This rave will be linked to the ‘Echolalia’ exhibition and will feature guest artists such as Arca. Björk has denied that it is directly related to her eleventh studio album, before her fans start planning trips thinking they are going to hear the new album live.
In a statement, Björk has confirmed that her album will not be released until 2027, and not in 2026, so the rave will not be any type of presentation party for this new release. Furthermore, he has confirmed that the successor to ‘Fossora’ will not receive the title ‘Echolalia’, as several of his followers believed.
In the text, Björk has explained that during the rave she plans to present an early version of a new song, but that the final version of that song cannot be heard until her album comes out in 2027. The presentation of this song will feature the collaboration of two “incredible” visual artists that she cannot yet reveal.
‘Echolalia’ is the name of an artistic exhibition by Björk that functions as an “umbrella” project in which the artist reinterprets two songs from her album ‘Fossora’ within a spatial installation, along with new music, visual elements and artistic collaborations.
