The Pogues have announced a greatest hits tour that will pass through Europe this winter. At the moment there are no Spanish dates.
The band has announced a European greatest hits tour which will take place this winter. The new dates come after several anniversary concerts that the band has recently performed in North America and the United Kingdom, and on this occasion they have added new dates in Europe. In addition, the tour will feature the participation of its original members, James Fearnley, Jem Finer and Spider Stacyaccompanied by various guest musicians and singers.
This time around, the setlist will feature all of their greatest hits, including classics like “Fairytale Of New York,” “Dirty Old Town,” “A Pair Of Brown Eyes,” “Rainy Night In Soho,” “If I Should Fall From Grace With God” and more. The tour will begin in Berlin next November 19and they will travel through different cities such as Munich, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Utrechtand will close with various dates in United Kingdom and Irelandthe last being the December 19 in Killarney, Ireland. For now, there are no scheduled dates for Spain.
The news of the new tour comes after the tribute they paid for the death of Andrew Rankendrummer and founder of the band. The leader, Shane MacGowan also passed away in 2023. Last year, the group’s members went on their first headlining tour in more than a decade and brought in special guests to join them during their shows to replace MacGowan.
