The legacy of George Michael will expand this year with the theatrical release of “George Michael: The Faith Tour”. The documentary will come accompanied by an album with eighteen unreleased recordings.
The material comes from the concerts that the artist offered in 1988 at the Palais Omnisports in Paris-Bercyduring the tour of his historic album “Faith”.
The film is directed by Andy Morahan and David Austin. It recovers images filmed with fourteen 35 mm cameras that for years were considered lost but have now been restored and remastered. The exact release date of the film and the album will be announced soon.
The premiere will also include the short film “Finding Faith”directed by Mary McCartney. It will also feature archival material, unpublished interviews with Michael himself and photographs by the renowned photographer. Herb Ritts.
“The Faith Tour” It was the British singer’s first solo tour, and it accompanied one of the most successful albums in pop history. The album sold more than twenty-five million copies and won the Grammy for Album of the Year.
