is born Blaumarí Music Port Vell, a new musical cycle that will take place in the Port Vell of Barcelona. The concerts will take place during the month of June and will feature a long list of classic artists with sounds ranging from pop to jazz, flamenco and roots music.
Between June 10 and 28, Barcelona’s Port Vell will host the first edition of a new cycle that has just been born. This is Blaumarí Music, an event that will bring together national and international artists in a limited capacity format that is committed to a close, elegant and quality musical experience, facing the sea in the surroundings of the port of Barcelona.
The cycle will start on June 10. On June 12 it will be the turn of the renowned American saxophonist and composer Kamasi Washingtonone of the most influential figures in contemporary jazz. From there, we will be able to see artists like the Galician Carlos Nunezthe legendary British reggae group UB40 feat. Ali Campbellresponsible for some of the great classics of the genre. the swedes The Cardigansthe legendary Gipsy Kings (by André Reyes)the historic Catalan band SAUthe Galician singer-songwriter Xoel Lopezthe genius of disco-funk Nile Rodgers accompanied by his legendary band CHICthe powerful soul voice of Josh Stonethe reference The Alan Parsons Projectthe British James or the American Rufus Wainwrightamong other proposals.
One of the great singularities of Blaumarí Music will be its stage, which will be located literally on the sea, creating a unique image in the city. The structure will be installed on a platform in the water in front of the public, so that the concerts will take place with the Mediterranean as a backdrop. This proposal will make Blaumarí Music the first music festival to be held on the Barcelona Nord pier (next to the World Trade Center), a new public space in the Port Vell of the Port of Barcelona that opened to citizens last year.
With this first edition, Blaumarí Music aims to consolidate itself as a new cultural proposal of reference in Barcelona. Tickets for all concerts can be purchased on Monday, March 23 at 10 a.m. at blaumarimusic.com.
