The Cardigans, back in Barcelona 20 years later

A new series of concerts has arrived in Barcelona and The Cardigans are not the only interesting band on their lineup. Blaumarí Music has announced today the programming of the first edition in its history, which will take place from June 10 to 28 at the Port Vell in Barcelona, and will feature names such as UB40, Rufus Wainwright, Kamasi Washington or Nile Rodgers & Chic.

The last time the Swedish band visited our country was in 2019, as part of the DCODE festival lineup. However, in 2026 it will be 20 years since Nina Persson’s group has not visited Barcelona. Which, of course, is going to change this summer. Tickets will be available starting next Monday the 23rd, at 10am.

One of the most striking aspects of the Blaumarí cycle will be its setting: a platform elevated above the sea in Barcelona’s Port Vell. In addition to The Cardigans, 17 other artists also join the occasion. Among these, Carlos Núñez, Gipsy Kings, Xoel López, Dj Symphonic, Joss Stone, James or Alan Parsons.
