The Andalusian seal Spinda Records announces a new release within its collection Trippy Series: the full recording of the concert that King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard offered on saturday May 24, 2025 at Poble Espanyol, Barcelona.
Considered one of the most prolific bands in contemporary music, and also responsible for one of the most varied discographies in current rock, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard They have built a constantly expanding creative universe that encompasses genres as diverse as electronic, thrash metal, psychedelia, garage rock and progressive rock.
This release is presented as a official bootleg in triple black vinyl format, pressed in Spain and limited to only 300 copies, which captures nearly two hours of performance. The recording contains no edits or subsequent manipulations, functioning as a faithful capture of what happened that night in Barcelona, preserving the energy and spontaneity of the concert intact.
The repertoire brings together eighteen songs that cover different stages of the group’s discography, including albums such as “I’m In Your Mind Fuzz” (4 themes), “Flight b741” (2), “Infest the Rats’ Nest” (2), “KG” (2), “Nonagon Infinity” (2), “PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation” (2) and “The Silver Cord” (2), in addition to cuts of “Flying Microtonal Banana” (1) and “Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava” (1).
The edition also has original artwork by the Argentine illustrator Francisco Cuelloknown for his work with bands like End of the World, The Audiovisual Club, The Simple Science either Carolina Durante.
The album will be released on next April 14and can now be reserved through the Spinda Records website and in specialized stores such as Bora Bora Records, Vitalogy Records, Marilians and Revolver Records.
