Rufus T. Firefly have won the Ruido Award, awarded by the music press for the Best Spanish Album of 2025, for their latest work, ‘All Good Things’, during the ceremony held tonight, March 12, at the Sala Berlanga in Madrid, where they also performed. Of course, they did it without the presence of their original drummer, Julia Martín-Maestro, who had not been able to attend the event. Rufus T. Firefly performed ‘Song of Peace’ accompanied by Repion, another of the nominated bands.
‘All the good things’ has appeared on many lists of the best of 2025, including the JENESAISPOP Yearbook, and has recently been among the musical recommendations of Pedro Sánchez, President of the Government.
Rufus T. Firefly, a band from Aranjuez (Madrid) and led by Víctor Cabezuelo, is usually reluctant to compete at awards ceremonies, even going so far as to dedicate a song to the ‘Independent Music Awards’, in which they will perform soon.
But the truth is that ‘All Good Things’ has prevailed over notable titles such as ‘LUX’ by Rosalía, ‘Spanish Leather’ by Guitarricadelafuente, ‘DAISY’ by Rusowsky or ‘Si abro los ojos no es real’ by Amaia. The award also works as a recognition of his entire career, since ‘All Good Things’ is his most recognized album, being his eighth.
Rufus T. Firefly have collected the Ruido Award from Julio Ruiz, joining a notable list of winners that includes Rosalía, awarded twice; Bizarre Love Triangle, also awarded twice; María José Llergo or, last year, Alcalá Norte.
