The historic experimental training Macromassa will celebrate his fifty years with a special concert on May 9 at the Center Artesà Tradicionàrius in Barcelona.
The performance will bring together Juan Crekfounder of the project along with the deceased Victor Nublawith several guest collaborators such as Sergio Oca, Eduard Altaba, Pepino Pascual, Carles Esteban or Pablo Volt ‘Pope’.
Founded in 1976 in the Gràcia neighborhood, the Macromassa project became one of the references of the Barcelona underground and experimental music in Spain. With a journey that spans more than six decades, numerous albums and collaborations with artists such as Pascal Comelade or Manuel Vázquez Montalbán. His first job, “Darlia Microtonic”is considered the first self-released album from the Spanish State.
Throughout its history, the project has explored territories ranging from noise and performance to literature and poetry, consolidating itself as a key piece of the city’s alternative culture.
