The Biscayan band Captain Elephant presents us with the video clip of the latest preview single of what will be his sixth album.
“Un millisecond” is “a song with a chorus that sticks in your brain from the first listen, a mix of raw and rock guitars with a rhythmic and powerful base, intermixing sequences and melodies with a melancholic, ironic and acidic touch at the same time.” Its sound and the characteristic voice of its leader Javier D’Marco and its metaphorical lyrics are unmistakable.
This new single, sixth since the people of Barakaldes began to present the new material in dribs and drabs in April 2025, belongs to their sixth album, “The world without us”presented live in the Azkena room last December and which will be released shortly.
The veteran band from Bilbao was formed in 2011 and debuted on record a year later with their debut album “New Coordinates” (Gaua, 2012). He was followed by the EP “Agoraphobia” (Gaua-2015), and the albums “A Million Men” (Polar-2017), “Electrocomfort” (Polar Records, 2019) and “Foreign Affairs” (Self-published, 2023.). Their sound is a mix between a very strong guitar power-pop and a very danceable disco base, all accompanied by some Martian stories that you want to know until the end.
Now they are releasing their new album “The world without us”which will be released in physical format, both on CD and vinyl.
