The Bilbao band I DON’T WANT TO presents an animated video clip based on film noir. Their next live dates will be on March 20 at the Wurlitzer Room in Madrid and on April 17 at Matarile Hall of Burgos.
I DON’T WANT TO They release the video clip for “Déjate transporte”, one of the songs included in their latest album, “Toxic”published last September. A second work with which, as we pointed out in the review of the album, takes a step forward without complexes: more ambition, more brilliance, more muscle. In the new video clip, the funk rhythms and catchy choruses of “Déjate Cargar” are accompanied by images created by the prestigious company IA Merengue under the creative direction of Gabriel Tineo and the technical architecture developed by Drew. It presents us with a visual metaphor where desire and chance are intertwined in a surreal environment, loaded with tension, color and symbolism, exploring new narrative possibilities without sacrificing artistic identity.
I DON’T WANT TO was born in 2020 by Alberto Macías (guitar), Antón Uribe (voice and keyboards) and Gaby Salaverry (lead vocals), three music and audiovisual production professionals, as a passionate project that understood from the beginning that in the 21st century it is not enough to sound good: you have to tell stories, move with images, and leave a mark. His first album, “Monterey” (2021), was a declaration of intentions: eight video clips in short film format that marked style and class. In 2024, the line-up was completed with Blas Fernández (drums), Javi Quintana (guitar) and Mario Gutiérrez (bass). His last album “Toxic” It contains songs that draw on Pop Rock from the 90s and 2000s, but that explode with the energy and pulse of the present. Catchy songs, with the soul of a hit, that are reminiscent of the great moments of contemporary music, without losing their own style.
