West Srk is pure potential. Álvaro Suárez’s proposal is young, with only one EP on the market, but it has made waves in a very short time thanks to all the possibilities that his music encompasses. If all goes well, he himself has told JENESAISPOP that before summer we will have a longer project. Don’t be left behind.
Last year the ‘MI CRUZ’ EP was released, the perfect entry point for new listeners of the Galician artist. The title track is a hypnotic feast of synthesized textures on which West Srk leaves an important message: “I know what I’m worth / What I carry on my cross.” The rest of the topic is the demonstration. ‘Si Algo Es Puro Vale El Doble’ has the ethereal touch of Sen Senra and the unpredictability of Ralphie Choo, as well as one of West’s most defining lyrics (“For mine I draw from where there is none”).
This was his first big project, with production, mixing and mastering by Blò from Vigo. A year before its launch, in early 2024, West Srk had less than 1,000 monthly listeners and just 500 followers on Spotify. Today, 90,000 people listen to his music every month. His growth is fully deserved, and he is still at the beginning of his career.
This Sunday, March 1, is the perfect opportunity to get on the West Srk boat ahead of time, with their concert at Sala El Sol, led by Escenarios Madrid and Vibra Mahou and No Art Factory.
On the eve of the show, West tells us that he is working “on a new project that will be released before summer” and that it will be “longer than ‘MY CROSS’.” Precisely, in this concert there will be some unreleased preview, as well as exclusive merch for the fastest.
