Lauryn Hill, Billy Idol, Wu-Tang Clan, Mariah Carey either INXSamong those nominated to be part of the Rock&Roll Hall Of Fame of this 2026.
The organization of Hall of Fame yesterday published the list of candidates for 2026, with seventeen new candidates. The bands and artists chosen have been: Iron Maiden, The Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Mariah Carey, Phil Collins, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, Billy Idol, INXS, Joy Division/New Order, New Edition, Oasis, P!NK, Sade, Shakira, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan.
The first-time nominations are for hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan, singer Lauryn Hill (Fugees), Jeff Buckley, Shakira and P!NK. Also debuting as soloists are Phil Collins, New Edition, Melissa Etheridge and Luther Vandross. This list also includes names already nominated in the past: Mariah Carey, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, The Black Crowes, Billy Idol and Sade.
The election of who will enter the Rock&Roll Hall Of Fame will be carried out by an international panel with more than 1,200 professionals from the music industry. The public vote (already open) is also key, and will influence the final decision. Those chosen will be announced in April, and the ceremony to find out who is inducted into the hall of fame will be held in the fall.
